![]() But that's a pretty circuitous route to play a game that's been available for years in other territories. ![]() Other users on Reddit have also reportedly had success with purchasing the game digitally on the eShop by switching their region to the United States, buying a gift card, and purchasing the game through the American market. This is making it impossible to officially distribute the game in European countries and also in Australia and New Zealand."Īs of right now, outside of Germany, only the digital version of "Dying Light: Platinum Edition" is affected, as physical copies can still be legally bought in both Australia and New Zealand. "ue to nature of content the digital version of the game is currently banned in Germany where European e-Shop is officially registered. The implementation of VAC in Dying Light has been almost comedic since the game spans multiple modes and no one knows if certain modes are excluded from VAC.Despite the game never being officially banned in these regions, it seems that the Australia and New Zealand digital markets were also affected by the ban. In light of the controversy, "Dying Light" developer Techland issued a statement regarding the regional bans on a Reddit post, which asked why access to the game has been denied in some regions. In fact I support it to prevent cheating in PVP and such. If they are unable to distinguish between all the modes then they should have warned folks. If a game supports a single player mode the developers should have been very, very careful in how they implement anti-cheat to target the intended modes. VAC is a technology intended to prevent cheating in multiplayer games. ![]() PVP is completely different mode - Be the Zombie. The campaign type then regulates if that game is running in multiplayer mode or not. Although you can set the campaign to public, private, friends, LAN and single player. I would agree that co-op and SP are the same game type - campaign mode. Unless you developed the game I don't think you can speak with authority as to what options were available. Im sorry but, I have to say, as a fact youve got clearly no idea what youre talking about. Honestly, Im not sure if youre trolling, or youre heavily misinformed. How can they discriminate when every instance is a SP, MP and PVP regardless of the users preference, all they are doing when playing SP is closing the door so other players cannot join. Ive over thousand hours in Dying Light, today is the first time Ive seen anyone say that farming DROPs and delivering it to quartermaster is an exploit/cheating. I am saying SP and MP, PVP are the same instance. Originally posted by Omnis Arcanum:No Zen930 read my post again, stop replying to the post that is in your head. So let me get this straight, if you are playing the campaign with no one else and use mods or such you are a cheater? PVP cheating should never be tolerated. I have heard so many excuses for cheaters it is pathetic, one guy said he was cheating in pvp because he got so good he became bored, so now he cheats (or did cheat, probably banned now), really makes me laugh how you cheaters justify it all. In a sense every game is MP, you just keep the door shut if you want a private game, opening the door lets players in but essentially it is opening your MP game to more players. If they could discriminate who is cheating in sp and who isnt I am sure they would have only targetted MP games but they are the same thing in Dying Light. Cheating in SP is his ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ choice, and it should be fine as long as he doesn't take it into MP. VAC was created as a counter against those, who ruin the experience of others in MP, not in SP. ![]() If he's cheating in SP, he's ruining the game for himself and only himself. ![]() Originally posted by Snorkofob:To whoever says that he deserves it for cheating - shut up. ![]()
